Are You Ready To Create Your 2008?

Do you make New Years Resolutions? Do they go something like this, I will lose 10 pounds, I will make more money so I can take my family on that cruise, I will quit smoking, I will..., I will... on and on and nothing ever happens, right?

Now I am going to help you change at least one of those. Most of the time those New Years Resolutions are no more then idle wishes that we never do anything with after we think them or say them and when next week comes along we can't even remember what we said let alone act on them.

What would happen if we took just one of those and really concentrated on it and decide to take it to the next level. What might happen? Maybe remember what it was next week, right? And what if we would expand that into the second week and so on and so forth, do you think maybe we would be starting to work on it a little each week or even a little each day. If we did that would it possibly look different by the end of the year.

Now Jeff and Keith Wellman a father/son team has taken to expand yours and my opportunity for that very thing, especially if you are thinking more about your financial security.

Jeff got laid off his job over 8 mo. ago and had 6 kids and a wife to provide for and no means to do that now. Can you image feeding 6 kids, I had 4 and thought that was bad enough and that was when food was cheap compared to now. He was having a tough time finding a job that would work for him when his oldest son now out of the home and into internet marketing sat his dad down and said Dad, you need to let me teach you how to market on the internet (or something like that). Jeff knowing nothing about that field gave up the fight and said ok. Now 8 mo. later they have both made quit a dent in the internet marketing business and are causing quit an uproar. Why am I telling you this? I want you to see that this can happen to you also.

Jeff and Keith Wellman has developed a step by step system that will help you and me to make our New Years Resolution of financial freedom finally develop into a dream come true.

This system is now on a Free CD 'Create 2008' that you can get for yourself to start making changes in your financial future starting today. Click Here To Create Your 2008!

4 Advantages of Using LongTail Keywords.

1. You will have less competition for your ads. By using longtail keywords like Dog that is pretty broad on Google there are about 500,000,000 entries, so lets go to Labrador Dog this narrows it down to 358,000 entries, much better. Ok now as far as I know there are several colors of Labs so lets pick one. How about Chocolate Labrador Dog this is a long tail keyword there are 271,000 entries. So the more you can narrow down your niche in the keywords the more traffic you can get and the less competition you will have for your ads. You could also add like training or breeder or kennel to narrow it even further.

2. If someone puts a phrase in the search engine that tells us they are looking to buy. The general keywords usually gets lookers where as the longer phrases tells us they are looking for something specific and are probably ready to buy.
What this is saying is that with general keywords people maybe just want to learn something about dogs so they type in dogs, but if they are really interested in a Chocolate Lab they are probably more serious about buying a chocolate lab or information on a chocolate lab. Another way to say it is if you are interested in buying a camera you probably already know the make and model and ever thing about that camera so you will go on Google and put that information into the search engine and who ever has that information in their ad will be the one that will get that sale possibly. That is why you want to think like the buyer. Do lots of fine-tuning.

3. If you are doing PPC the bids will be lower with long tail keywords. With the Pay Per Click bids dog will be one of the more expensive keywords where as Chocolate Labrador will be much less as the chart shows below.

4. CTR & CR’s will more then likely be much higher. CTR is your Click Thru Rate, this determines your keyword quality score. The number of clicks your ad receives is divided by the number of times your ad is shown. An advantage of using longtail keywords is that the click thru you receive is a very targeted visitor and you could consider them a “warm market lead” because of the long tail keyword phrase you used. This would make your Click Thru Rate much higher and more potential of higher sales conversion.

Keyword Facts That You Need to Know

Keywords are very important for converting your sales in your Internet marketing business.

Keywords will provide you with targeted traffic to your website.

When writing a title for an article or a blog you should use keywords in the first 4 words of the title.

Jeff Herring- The Article Guy recommends that for your title you use his formula of “Keywords – Benefit(s) – Keywords”.

Most of the time we think of keywords as being one word or 2 words like affiliating marketing, but what I have learned as I was researching this topic is something called “long tail keywords”. This would be something like affiliate marketing tips or affiliate marketing programs.

4 Advantages of Using Long Tail Keywords.
1. You will have less competition for your ads.
2. If someone puts a phrase in the search engine that tells us they are looking to buy. The general keywords usually gets lookers where as the longer phrases tells us they are looking for something specific and are probably ready to buy.
3. If you are doing PPC the bids will be lower with long tail keywords.
4. CTR & CR’s will more then likely be much higher.

These long tail keywords are often called “sub niche” keywords. (Not the big dog keywords.) So if you focus on the sub niches they will pay off more.

There are no right or wrong key words, but there are good keywords and bad keywords. You want to find the good ones and ramp them up, because they are the ones that will put the money in your pocket. Where as the bad keywords are the ones you want to get rid of fast becaise they will drain your pocket.

9 Steps of coming up with good keywords.
1. You need to put yourself in the prospect’s mind as to what words or phrases will they use in order to search for your product.
2. Why would they be searching for your product?
3. Are they looking for an online business?
4. Are they going to be working strictly from the computer?
5. How much money are they willing to invest on their new business. Might they want FREE affiliate marketing tips or a free affiliate marketing program.
6. How much time are they willing to spend on the business?
7. Do your research. Go to other affiliate websites and see what they are doing with their promotions.
8. Find out what keywords others are using.
9. By doing your research you will be surprised how your keywords will appear to you.

You need to understand that some of the most popular search terms are not always the best search terms.

Have a large list of keywords and long tail keywords. That is the best way to go.

If you don’t have the best keywords and phrases no one will see your advertisements and you won’t make any money from your websites.

There are no right stratgies, but there are some free tools you can use.
1. Freekeywords.worktracker.com This is great for long tail keywords and they have a free version that you can use.

2. Digitalpoint.com/tools/suggestion.

Overture use to be #1 for keyword searches, but Google bought them and in Jan. 2007 Google stopped updating it so it is no longer producing updated results. Forget Overture!

There are 4 Different Forms of keywords.
1. Plurals
2. Synonyms
3. Different word order for phrase.
4. Different verb forms (lose, losing, etc.)

Spy on your Competitor to see what they are doing.

We have just learned how important keywords are to us. It is like they are the backbone of our business. Without them we wouldn’t have many sales, or much traffic. Keywords can be general or they can be more specific called long tail keywords. Keywords are good or bad and we want to keep the good ones. We covered 9 ways of coming up with our keywords and 2 free tools that we can use to select our keywords from. Be sure that you spy on your competitor because that will help to give you more ideas for keywords and marketing.

A Checklist of 10 Things to Look for When Choosing an Affiliate Program to Sell

When you are starting out in affiliate marketing there are 10 things that you will want to check out when you consider what program to go with.

  1. Make sure the product is selling already.
  2. How old is the product? You want to be sure the products are up to date. You don’t want anything that is out of date.
  3. Does the sales letter look professional? The sales letter is what will make the first impression. So be sure it has the words spelled correctly and it has good grammar. Also is the sales letter convincing, does it pull you in and make you want to buy right now. If so you will know you have a good one.
  4. You will want the payout to be 50% or more. And does it pay on 1, 2 or multi tiers. Who pays you the merchant or click bank? How often do they pay, twice a month or monthly?
  5. Is the product of excellent quality? Is it something that will perform as they say? You certainly don’t want to be promoting something that isn’t of good quality.
  6. Does it have all the resources that you would need to get started? Does it have ads, banners and email letters that you can send out?
  7. Do they have a good training program? This is very important if you want people to be happy with the product and use it. Also, do they have good customer support?
  8. Is it going to be easy to make a sale with? Very important
  9. Fine out about the conversion rate. That means how many buyers to lookers do they have.
  10. How many affiliates are promoting the same product. There isn’t much fear of over saturation, because usually with every ten sales there may only be one affiliate selling, but you can go to Google and click on the product name to check out the competition.

This checklist should help you to get a head start on your affiliate marketing. Be sure and do your research ahead of time so you don’t have any surprises.

Confidence Equals Money

2008! What is in your future for 2008? I am so surprised with what I am seeing in my future now. Now I know that I am going to eventually be increasing my cash flow this year.

By the end of 2007, I could feel a shift going on in me that was letting me know that there will be many good things coming in 2008. Before it would have been like anyone else, oh well it is just another year of the same old stuff, but now I can see things differently.

Jeff Wellman with The Millionaire Boss is the beginning of the change for me. With Jeff then came Dixie who has helped me to learn about affiliate marketing. What I am experiencing is there is so much more to learn about affiliate marketing then I originally thought in the past.

1. Along with it comes signing up in affiliate marketing forums that I am still working on, but I am getting braver with it and during the night came up with some ideas of how to get started more with it.

2. Then writing of articles that I am learning more about. Today I was researching about Power Words and I hope to learn how to incorporate them into my writing and I feel that is going to make a huge difference in how I communicate with people also.

3. Writing free classified ads and getting them on the internet. I need to do more of that like 2-3 a day would be good.

4. Blog posting. That should be done 3 times a week and all I am getting done is once a week, so I need to beef that up.

5. Incorporating keywords into my blog and articles and being sure I get a 3%-5% filtration is also something that will increase my profitability.

Wikipedia states that, “Confidence is a mental process that arises from considering if a person or thing is capable of something. Self-confidence is having confidence in oneself when considering a capability”. According to this I am seeing that my self-confidence is building from working on my affiliate marketing, because I have the support of a mastermind group that encourages me to keep writing and continues to impress upon me that I am a good writer and from doing more of the writing on ezine articles and posting on my blog and having successful classified ads I am seeing that I can do something that I never thought would have been possible before.

Because of this self-confidence that I am building I am finding that I can be more bold when I am talking to others and I present myself as more confident and I am finding that I am having more fun, it seems to be very freeing for some reason. In fact, on a call today I had with some friends I was taking the lead with some of the conversation and one of the gals emailed me afterwards and said “I am sooooooooooo proud of your leadership and accomplishments. Your confidence is zooming.”

If I can get all of the above organized and done each day or every other day I will make a huge improvement in my financial status and along with that will come more self-confidence. I can already see a change in my spirit and my confidence with just the little bit that I have accomplish so far.

Happy New Year and I wish you all the self-confidence you can muster in 2008.

Article Writing

I have put off writing in my blog because I guess the simple reason was I hadn’t thought of anything that “tripped my trigger.”

Well if you have been reading my other posts you know that Dixie Brown has been my mentor for this thing called internet marketing or what I am trying to do is affiliate marketing. Without knowing how to do any of this internet marketing, even though I have been to some seminars like Matt Bacak’s on Internet Marketing I didn’t have the slightest clue as to how to writing blogs, ezine articles, and getting into groups and now something new I just learned is about social networking (wow, has my brain been trying to shut down with all of this). Usually that is the case, my brain just shuts down and I don’t get anything done, but now for whatever reason I have decided not to let it do that to me. I said, Brain, I am in control and not you so just except the challenge because we are going to do what Dixie says.

So I have spent the day searching on ‘how to write articles’. Let me tell you I never thought I would ever be doing any of this writing, because I am one of those who sat beside the smartest kid in school (my cousin) and always felt dumb because the first day of Kindergarten he had to be the one to tell the teacher my name because for whatever reason I couldn’t do it and going through 13 years of having him next to my side wasn’t fun. Now let’s get back to ‘how to write an article’, I discovered that there are some very important things not to do and why not. I will just talk about the big one here.

In my research I found that maybe you need to start with “thinking obituaries” this is what an article about “How to Write Articles” on Wikihow says, “If you're new to writing, start small. Think obituaries,...” Now that one I couldn’t believe, that is something easy because most of the time other people write them for you, but my thought was that well that would probably be what I would be doing if I hadn’t done this little bit of research on writing ezine articles. I have found and what Dixie has pointed out to me is never copy anybody else’s words without identifying the source as to who or where it came from. Why that is is because that will automatically send you to an early grave in the writing field faster than anything you do. So DO NOT Plagiarize other peoples work. If you can’t think of another way to word it just drop it or reveal the source.

So I know I need to apologize to Jeff Wellman because of this I need to come clean and fess up to my mistake. Jeff I am sorry that I have copied some of your material and I promise to never do it again. Please forgive me. I have just started so I would really like to be around for a while to see where this could take me.

Just a thought here, it just dawned on me that in school it was against the rule to copy, but here we can copy as long as we identify the source. Now that is thought provoking. Maybe if I would have copied my cousin’s papers and just wrote his name at the bottom for the source of the material I could have gotten away with it. And then maybe not.

10 Basic Components to Writing an Article.

1. Do your research. There are many places you can go on the Internet to fine what you want to write about in just a matter of a few minutes.
2. Find a quit place to write.
3. Have an uncluttered place to write. (This is something I need to work on.)
4. Before starting take some deep relaxing breaths. Latter on I would like to describe an exercise that is great for this.
5. Start writing, let the pen flow. No need to make corrections now.
6. When you are finished go back and reread and start making corrections and deleting anything you feel doesn’t need to be there. Remember no fluff (no exaggerations, just good content).
7. Go back and reread several times again (could be as many as 40 times).
Remember to check to see that you marked all of your quotes and give your source if you did any copying. NO plagiarizing.
8. Use Spellcheck (very important).
9. Have someone else read your article to see if you missed anything and to get their thoughts and you keep rereading it also.
10. Now you are ready to turn your article into the article submitters, post it on your blog, make your newsletter or if you are writing for a newspaper or magazine your article should be ready to be submitted there.
Happy Article Writing.
