A Checklist of 10 Things to Look for When Choosing an Affiliate Program to Sell
When you are starting out in affiliate marketing there are 10 things that you will want to check out when you consider what program to go with.
- Make sure the product is selling already.
- How old is the product? You want to be sure the products are up to date. You don’t want anything that is out of date.
- Does the sales letter look professional? The sales letter is what will make the first impression. So be sure it has the words spelled correctly and it has good grammar. Also is the sales letter convincing, does it pull you in and make you want to buy right now. If so you will know you have a good one.
- You will want the payout to be 50% or more. And does it pay on 1, 2 or multi tiers. Who pays you the merchant or click bank? How often do they pay, twice a month or monthly?
- Is the product of excellent quality? Is it something that will perform as they say? You certainly don’t want to be promoting something that isn’t of good quality.
- Does it have all the resources that you would need to get started? Does it have ads, banners and email letters that you can send out?
- Do they have a good training program? This is very important if you want people to be happy with the product and use it. Also, do they have good customer support?
- Is it going to be easy to make a sale with? Very important
- Fine out about the conversion rate. That means how many buyers to lookers do they have.
- How many affiliates are promoting the same product. There isn’t much fear of over saturation, because usually with every ten sales there may only be one affiliate selling, but you can go to Google and click on the product name to check out the competition.
This checklist should help you to get a head start on your affiliate marketing. Be sure and do your research ahead of time so you don’t have any surprises.
It wasn’t a trickle of money coming in…it was a flood of cold, hard cash.
